Biography
Capeline - Galaxy

Georgine Glaenzer, stylist-designer in the world of sport, graduate of the National School of Decorative Arts of Paris (ENSAD) in clothing design, winner of the salon of decorative artists at the Grand Palais (SAD) in 1987, regained her freedom of expression in 2002.

She designs and develops an innovative approach inspired by Japanese Origami folding techniques for creating various types of hats. Her collaboration with the Palais Galliera (Fashion Museum) and a donation from Madame Carven enabled her to establish her "Sunburst Pleated" hat workshops using Tarlatan. Today, she continues to lead these workshops for private clients of all ages.

It was in 2005 that she discovered a new medium, Buntal, which led her to create ceremonial hats, like modular sculptures. Each headpiece is custom-made in a haute couture spirit inspired by the draping of Madame Grey and the pleats of Issey Miyake.

Committed to eco-design and passionate about writing natural materials in space, she sculpts these plant fibers, revealing the multiple movements and forms inherent in each one.

Since 2014, the evolution of her work and her encounter with natural feathers has led her to the profession of feather artist, one of the last remaining skills of French living heritage, in an experimental approach between art and natural sciences in the spirit of a cabinet of curiosities…

Recognized and affiliated since 2025 by Ateliers d'Art de France as a feather artist and bespoke milliner, her creations are all conceived, designed, and handcrafted in her workshop in the Île-de-France region.
